HOOKED ON FLOWERS ON COLD WINTRY DAYS

Sydney is freezing! For the last couple of days it's been between 14C and 16C during the day and about 10 degrees colder at night. It's real indoors weather even though it's quite sunny outside. I've been sitting by the fireplace every night this week. It's so warm and cozy.

But despite the cold wintry weather there are some beautiful flowers still blooming in my much-neglected garden. They are a gorgeous sight in these cold, early-dark days.

Have a look at hooked on houses to see what other people are hooked on this week!

  3. Hi Sue. I hear ya. It's freezing....and only the second week into winter. Only second!

I'm amazed how my 3 rose standards are still holding on for grim life, and there's a few flowers still in bloom. The strong wind on Wednesday took a lot of the petals off though.

Enjoy your lovely, warm fireplace, and the sun when it's out during the day (provided the wind isn't stronger!) :-)

  4. I love the world of blogging...a cold wintry day for you is a hot summer day for me! Actually, not so hot since I am visiting the temperate coast of Southern California right now, but Atlanta (my hometown) had a high of 87F today!

In Southern California, lavendar is seen everywhere - a beautiful sight since it does not flourish in Atlanta. Loved seeing it on your blog!
